Community commemorates WW1

(May 23, 2018)

Members of Oulton WI have installed a tableau to commemorate the end of the First World War and the seventeen men from our village who lost their lives in the conflict. Nearly 800 felt poppies have been painstakingly stiched to form a river of poppies at the village hall. Oulton Community Group provided the crosses and the mannekin. The group would like to thank all those who have given their time to create this recognition of those who fought in and gave their lives in "the war to end all wars".
